The customer wanted to relocate existing sockets to suit the new kitchen layout and add dedicated supplies for a range of integrated appliances. As there was no practical access to run new cables back to the consumer unit, the existing circuit legs from the consumer unit were retained, with all wiring between those points completely renewed to create a safe and modern installation.
By reusing the original cables where appropriate and installing new wiring throughout the kitchen, the customer achieved a fully compliant installation with minimal disruption to the rest of the property, ready for the new kitchen to be fitted and second fixed.
